Ninja 400 vs RC 390 for a novice dedicated track machine

Background: I’ve done a few track days in my Monster 821. Obviously, I became very addicted to it. I intended to get more regular at it this year and was planning on getting a middleweight supersport (R6 or GSXR600) as a dedicated track machine. Now that Covid 19 struck and delayed my plans, it gave a lot of time to contemplate.I wonder if starting with middleweight is actually a wise decision. I’ve seen all the expert riders start small (they mostly stop in a middleweight?!). Maybe the smaller ones are more forgiving and I can get the basics nailed down before adding speed to the mix. I hope that sounds reasonable?Given that, I narrowed down to RC 390 and Ninja 400. They both seem like a good option and a noob like probably cannot bring the best out of any of them (at least not yet ;) ). What would you recommend?Another interesting thing I found was that a new RC 390 or 400 costs the same (if not less) than a track prepped one. Likelihood of crashing at first track day?

Hey guys,Gearing up for my first track day soon. I've got the leathers and I'm fixing up everything on my bike. I'm planning on attending the track day in June but will be moving to a different country and selling my bike in August.I'm starting to get nervous about what might happen if I bin it on track and can't sell my bike before I go. I'd like to use the money from selling to get a new bike after I move so busting up the plastics would kind of suck.What're the odds of going down on a first track day? Question about race suit fit

Hi all, I just received my Dainese Assen 2 Race Suit today and it’s really uncomfortable on the crotch area when off bike. While on a bike, it feels fine. I put on a back protector and a book to mimic a chest protector but I could barely zip it up. Should I try to break it in first or should I size up? I understand a race fit will be really snug but it was uncomfortably snug when I tried on. Any inputs will be greatly appreciated! What spares do you take to a Race Weekend?

I'm currently prepping my ZX-6R to start racing in my local club as a beginner, and was wondering if I should buy some more parts for spares to keep in the trailer for if/when the bike goes for a tumble.For the racers here, what do you carry in your spares box to replace and for a quick turn-around to make the next race? Clip ons, rearset pegs, levers. Sharkskinz Fairings Question!

Quick question about sharkskinz fairings, is buying the race kit like a package deal for buying all of them? Want to buy them (i’m a total newbie and this is the first “fairings kit” i’ve bought since buying used bike with beat fairings), or do i have to buy all the pieces separately? Just asking because i don’t want to buy the race kit (because in my head i think track) and have them come with no headlight slots, but the picture for the kit and the upper are the same.
