The old man took me for a ride years ago, I fell in love. He parked and I've been working on it during quarantine.

Hey fellas, my dad is getting kinda old. I've always loved his bike and so he decided he'd give it to me. It has a couple problems, 1st mainly being needing a new ignition coil (no big deal, part is on it's way). MBut the 2nd problem is less of the bike and more me. I've never driven a bike before and it's been 8 years sinve I was on it with the old man. I was 10 years old then. I remember I was in my way to a football game at my sister's highschool. The feeling of going down the road with wind rushing past and the rumble of the engine was such an amazing and sublime experience. I fell in love with it then and there. But the next week dad parked the bike for good. It sat for 8 years collecting dust. So now in quarantine I'm spending a lot of time cleaning it and polishing it up. It's in surprisingly good condition considering how long it sat.Could y'all share some of your fondest biking memories? When did you fall in love with it?The bike is a 1996 Kawasaki Vulcan 800A2. It's Japanese (I know "ew not american" I'm a 'muricah guy myself), sounds fantastic when I get it running. Shuts off when stood up off the kickstand. 1 ignition coil isn't firing consistently, thus firing a lot of unburnt gas. I'm super excited to get going :)Old man and me on the bike for the last time https://imgur.com/gallery/likUstJTl:dr; I'm working on an old bike my dad gave me. It has a lot of sentimental value. via /r/motorcycles https://www.reddit.com/r/motorcycles/comments/g1n8it/the_old_man_took_me_for_a_ride_years_ago_i_fell/?utm_source=ifttt
