until I rode to work and back this morning.I enjoy a bit of wind usually, and the 30-40mph winds in town were still manageable, but the winds on the bridge areas up by the mountain pass were at hurricane-strength. If my SUV was available, I would have just skipped riding today, but it was tied up with a service appointment.I won't say I was afraid, because there is not much if anything that can scare me these days, but I was definitely concerned a few times when I was leaned way off the bike, had the bike also leaned over close to scraping pegs, and a strong gust was still pushing me toward the edge of the lane.Beating the gust is only half the battle, because when it ends, the bike needs to be stood back up quickly to avoid swerving out of the lane. But that still has to be done somewhat cautiously, in anticipation of another strong gust possibly hitting immediately afterward. On the plus side, I've never seen drivers give me that much room before. They seemed to want to stay at least two lanes or several car-lengths away.I ran into only one other rider brave enough to hit the streets today. We exchanged a well-deserved biker wave. via /r/motorcycles https://www.reddit.com/r/motorcycles/comments/dpiqin/i_thought_i_had_seen_high_winds/?utm_source=ifttt
