Can I build a bike without installing a battery at all (pros and cons)?

Hello, looking to do a build on an older bike, likely CB500/750 or similar. My question is that if the bike has a kickstart, do I really need a 12V battery at all? I am toying with the idea of making it a kickstart-only bike and removing the starter motor. I am looking to you folks to comment on some of the pros and cons of not having a battery in the bike. Some initial thoughts:Pros: -Lighter weight (no battery, no starter motor) -Simpler wiring -Cleaner site lines (aesthetically)Cons: -Must kick bike to start each time -Limits any peripheral electronic devices -Some bikes are harder to kick than othersSome Qs: -Can I, and how would I wire in the headlight, tach, blinkers, and brake light without a battery? -How would a regulator/rectifier work in this instance? -Is is preferable to just keep a very small 12v battery for these purposes (but not one big enough that can activate the starter motor)? Thanks everyone. via /r/CafeRacers https://www.reddit.com/r/CafeRacers/comments/am2hws/can_i_build_a_bike_without_installing_a_battery/?utm_source=ifttt
