Someone claims I sold a stolen bike? Is this a scam?

So I bought a bike back in March fixed it up and then sold it last month. The guy I bought it from had a salvage title, VIN on the bike matched the title. I titled the bike in my name and signed it over to the guy who bought. I just had someone contact me claiming that the bike I sold was stolen from them twice? Once in 06 and once in 2014. He wants me to give him the contact info for the guy I sold it to. He wants to work it out so the law doesn't have to get involved. I have seen my fair share of scams, I have not heard this one before.
