Had an awesome experience with a cop this morning

So I was on my way to work this morning, when one of the straps on my backpack decided it no longer wanted to be a strap. Fortunately I had the chest strap clipped so it mostly stayed in place, at least long enough for me to pull over.As I'm staring at my now ruined backpack and wondering if I can clamp the remaining strap underneath my seat, a cop pulls up behind me and flips his lights on. I start panicking a little, thinking now I'm going to get a bunch of B.S. on top of my already bad morning. Much to my surprise he gets out and tells me he saw my backpack go and wanted to make sure I was okay. I told him yeah, but now I had to figure out a way to get to work with half a backpack. He asks where I work, which was right off an exit about 10 miles down the freeway. To my even greater surprise, he offers to put the backpack in the trunk of his squad car, and have me follow him there. So of course I take him up on it, and off we go. Fifteen minutes later we get to my work and end up talking for a little bit. He told me he was looking into getting a bike for himself and wanted to know about mine (08 Ninja 650). We talked about the pros and cons of a 400 vs the 650, vs getting something like an R6 or ZX6R. After a few minutes a call came in so he had to take off, but yeah, the absolute coolest interaction I've ever had with an LEO.Since we're here, anyone else have any fun stories of interactions with cops? via /r/motorcycles https://www.reddit.com/r/motorcycles/comments/crwyag/had_an_awesome_experience_with_a_cop_this_morning/?utm_source=ifttt
