Cleveland Cyclewerks?

I live in the LA area and am searching for my first bike. Unfortunately, living in California, a TU250X is out of the question unless it is over 7500 miles. On the other hand, I have been offered a 2016 Misfit II by Cleveland Cyclewerks with 1000 miles for $1300. I’m nervous because the brand has a poor reputation but for that ridiculously low price is it worth the buy? I plan on riding it until I have the money and experience to get something a little bigger and nicer (hopefully a nineT scrambler or a Triumph) and don’t plan on any freeway riding. Does anyone have experience with these bikes? I’ve already exhausted every resource online and was hoping someone here would have firsthand knowledge.
