I was approaching a stop sign and the road was at a pretty steep angle. I didn’t stop carefully enough, lost balance and dropped my bike on the left side (the direction down the slope). Thankfully the car driver behind me immediately got out and helped me lift her back up. Other than a bit of embarrassment, I wasn’t hurt but my bike was. There’s a few scratches on the fairings and the shifter was bent. Luckily scratches are very light and my bike is white so you can’t see it unless you get real close. I was able to bend the shift lever enough so it’s functional and rode safely home. Can anyone tell me a good way to bend the lever back to the original position or do I have to replace it? I don’t think there was any problems when I rode home, nothing was leaking but are there anything else I should be checking for damage?
