This may lie a bit outside of the specific focus of this sub, but automotive/motorcycle design is something I have a real passion for and I just wanted to share.Maxime Thouvenin is the creative mind behind Husqvarna's reboot of their road bike lineup with the Vitpilen and Svartpilen 401/701. These bikes were very well received by the press when they were first unveiled in 2014 and on release in 2018. Personally, I think they're gorgeous in a sleek and futuristic way.Maxime's work has created a lot of buzz and has been the center of attention of a handful of articles. Which is why it boggles my mind that no one is talking about his recent employment at Honda. According to his Linkedin page, he's been working there for almost a year at this point.Recently, Honda has really embraced a sort of retro-futuristic, quasi-cyberpunk aesthetic with bikes like the CB 1000R, 650R, and 300R as well as the concepts for the CB125M and CB125X that were shown off at EICMA in 2018. I think the CB125M especially bares a resemblance to KTM/Husqvarna's style. This is purely speculation, but I think Honda may be working with him to develop a refresh of a large portion of their lineup. I think we might see some interesting and very design-focused concepts coming from them in the next year or two. via /r/motorcycles https://www.reddit.com/r/motorcycles/comments/ffqvui/maxime_thouvenin_the_designer_behind_the/?utm_source=ifttt
