This happened in the USA in VA for my fellow VA riders who know route 7 (after Herndon before Tysons) that's where it happened.I had my first accident today, not going to lie an interesting experience. You've all heard before, but here I go anyway. I was driving down the road, in the left lane and even though it was right before rush hour, there was no one on my side of the road Greenlight after greenlight life was great. Next thing you know at one of the intersections I see this car creeping forward but they don't go. So I keep going doing around speed limit 55-60 mph.The driver decides now is a good time to go as I'm coming up to the intersection and starts rolling. I hit my brakes rear tire locks but it's too late. I hit their car thankfully low speeds and blackout.Next thing I know some Bystander helps me up and makes sure I'm fine. The driver was already out of the car and started saying how she's so sorry she didn't see me etc. You always hear it but I was just dumbfounded.Police and EMS arrived took our statements, apparently, she was trying to do a U-Turn and never saw me coming. The cop said he didn't understand either. At the end of the day, the only lesson I learned from this is one I already knew. Most drivers are idiots.Big thanks to all the Bikes that stopped and made sure I was fine or gave me a Thumbs up / Thumbs down question. You're all wonderful people. Thanks for reading my Rant, I'll head to bed now.TL;DR:The usual, person didn't see the very obvious bike coming and hit said bike.Wore my riding gear so I came out fine. via /r/motorcycles https://www.reddit.com/r/motorcycles/comments/eyktn7/even_if_youre_riding_on_a_straight_road_with_no/?utm_source=ifttt
