Long story short - Longtime sport/tour/standard rider (Triumph speed triple, BMW R1100s type bikes, etc). Got out of riding for a few years but now I have a new wife who is a new first time rider and I would like to just ride with her and enjoy riding together.Went to a local dealer to look at entry level bikes for my wife, and a newish speed triple they had on the lot. Whacked open the throttle on the speed triple, and honestly the only impression I got is I would get frustrated riding this with my wife - like the husband that is always walking two paces ahead of his wife. That's not what I'm looking for here. They had a smoke white scout bobber on the lot. I had never even considered a cruiser, but my wife sat on it because it had a low seat height, so I figured what the heck let me throw a leg over and give it a twist of the throttle. I was surprised. SURPRISED at how balanced and light it felt. And it looked gorgeous.I would buy it right now. EXCEPT FOR. those forward pegs. So let me ask those of you that ride that style of bike. Do you get used to them? How do you keep your ass from getting sore after an hour since you can't stand on the pegs to give your behind a rest? How do you go around an aggressive turn not weighting your footpegs? I'm not being facetious here - forward pegs like that are a completely new thing to me.The HD sportster roadster has a more rear-set foot placement, and I'm looking at one of them tomorrow - solely for that reason.thanks in advance! via /r/motorcycles https://www.reddit.com/r/motorcycles/comments/el3kxq/longtime_sporttour_rider_saw_an_indian_scout/?utm_source=ifttt
