My $40 83 Nighthawk turned Tracker for $1200. Raced and jumped off-road!

https://imgur.com/gallery/Md1dTN7So a few weeks ago I posted pictures of my finished project I built for a race where only street bikes are allowed and no dirt bike tires (nobbies) are allowed.Well that race has come and gone and boy was it fun! I ended up in the cruiser class with a bunch of other heavy bikes aka Harley's and had a blast battling against them. The Carnage: I got 3rd in my first heat in a group of 10. Then I forgot to turn my fuel back on and hole shot the bike and then died 20 feet out. Clawed up two places though from last. 3 heat I was in around 4th and landed so hard my rear shocks ( the original ones from 83) locked at full compression after a big jump and I thought I broke the swingarm. So I limped to a last place. On the final heat I couldn't get the bike to move under it's power from the start of the race. I later found out I have two dead cylinders from coil wires that backed off from all the vibrations and jumping. Started and finished last.Once she was home I and cleaned pounds of black dirt off. I bashed my under seat tray up, the rear shocks are totally blown out and one spring is cracked lol. My plate bracket got hit by the tire and almost ripped off. I zip ties it up for the last 2 races. And the two outside carbs have stuck floats from dirt. All in all no big deal and easily upgraded or fixed.I had a fucking blast and nothing is more fun then jumping stuff that shouldn't be jumped. Already have two new upgraded and longer rear shocks in the mail. via /r/motorcycles https://www.reddit.com/r/motorcycles/comments/ei2nn2/my_40_83_nighthawk_turned_tracker_for_1200_raced/?utm_source=ifttt
