05 Bandit 650 dies like it' out of gas... But fuel tank isn't empty.

Hey guys!So my Bandit has been suffering from loss of power on acceleration (particularly around mid range and when I open the throttle suddenly) for a while now.About a week or two ago it died on me while on low fuel (but not THAT low). Sputtered for a few seconds, started sounding weird, then died.Luckily I was able to coast to a gas station and refill. Started back up no problem, ran fine after that.During these two weeks I had the usual loss of power problem but the bike never actually died on me again, until today.I was pushing it a bit harder than usual on a nice empty stretch of road, when suddenly it started sputtering again, then started sounding weird, then finally died. This time, fuel tank was almost half full, though.I thought I might have a clogged fuel tank vent, so I tried turning the bike on with the gas cap open: nothing. After a while I found some good dude who gave me a ride to the nearest gas station.Filled the tank and the old Bandit started right up, rode home without any problems (besides the usual loss of power on sudden accel)Carbs? Fuel tap? Fuel hoses?Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, guys. Thanks!EDIT: I forgot to mention that a couple weeks back I had the inline fuel filter replaced, after which the bike died in the same manner; mechanic cut the thinner outer parts of the filter out, mounted it back, and the bike ran fine for a week or two, until that first low fuel problem I described! via /r/motorcycles https://www.reddit.com/r/motorcycles/comments/eg3mu7/05_bandit_650_dies_like_it_out_of_gas_but_fuel/?utm_source=ifttt
