Weird OEM Recommended Shift Pattern?

So I looked at the owner's manual for my bike ('18 CB1000R) and the recommended shift points are:First to Second: 12mphSecond to Third: 19mphThird to Fourth: 25mphFourth to Fifth: 31mphFifth to Sixth: 37mphI'm assuming this is for regular degular trolling around a city (very, very, veryyy light throttle) because any purposeful turn of the throttle will generally launch me to 25mph in first gear before I can even think to shift. The RPMs at this point more or less hover around 25-3500. I've been using this shift pattern for a out a week whenever I'm off the highways and it's done wonders for my gas consumption (averaged 27mpg before, now I'm at 34mpg and climbing). The engine doesn't sound or feel different from normal unless I put more throttle onto the bike or I'm going uphill (at which point I just shift down and carry on). Should I still be worried about lugging the engine using the OEM shift pattern? via /r/motorcycles https://www.reddit.com/r/motorcycles/comments/e2f1gb/weird_oem_recommended_shift_pattern/?utm_source=ifttt
