Second time going down

This happened just a few hours ago. I wore full gear so no injuries whatsoever. This was at night in LA. Was passing a car on highway then saw a really hard to see object in the way. Literally half the size of a melon, extremely hard, shaped like a U, and black. Bike didn't take it too well.I guess I'm lucky, again. Being fully geared definitely helped. Another biker and a car driver formed a barricade and made sure I was okay. I'm glad strangers are there to help me out there.I don't know, maybe I can do more training to deal with things like that?
