I've always had a kink for 70s and 80s cafe bikes. But I also love the feel of a good muscle bike / power cruiser. I've never really been able to scratch both of those itches in one bike so I'm going to give it a try with this. pic1 pic2. I just rolled it into the garage and it's raining. Sorry the pictures aren't better.I love this engine. V4 DOHC with individual carbs, and 80 horsepower from a 37 year old bike. That's amazing in my eyes. I'm a little concerned about the cam life because it looks like it's been leaking oil. I know oil starvation is a death sentence for these heads even if its only thirsty for a second. It's a 6 speed that runs through a shaft drive... Never had a shaft drive so I don't know what to expect. It's also my first old Honda. Any tips or advice? It doesn't run. The clutch is hydraulic and the slave leaked dry. Plus it's acting like it has a fuel issue. Oh and the wiring is all buggered. But that do you expect for a $500 bike.My goal is to build something fun to zip around on, but it's still dependable enough to take on long road trips and not want to kill myself. So it's going to keep the soft springs and the back seat... Beyond that I have no idea. I'm kind of an idiot so I'm sure this is going to spiral out of control and I'll end up with something so hardcore I'll never want to ride it past the coffee shop. Again. But fuck it. Here we go. via /r/motorcycles https://www.reddit.com/r/motorcycles/comments/e2d7bb/my_new_project_a_1982_honda_magna_vf750/?utm_source=ifttt
