I'm not allowed a motorcycle but I bought one

I'm an 18 yo uni student, I bought an old gsx 250 to restore and I'm keeping it at a friends for the moment. My parents are very against motorcycles (mum collided with a bike once and she was a wreck over it), but I'm very confident this is something I want to do, and I can pay for all expenses, I have a car as well so I wouldn't ever ride in the city.
