... but I did it. Finally. Got my license two weeks ago and bought my first bike last week. I dreamed about this for all my life and as the title says it took me some time to get everything together. Gear, license and last but not least the bike. I got my drivers license for cars in 2007, but I never finished my bike license. Things got in the way so I postponed it year after year ...I went to the dealership two weeks ago. Wanted to take a look at a Honda Fireblade (178HP as my first bike I ;-)) but the dealer strongly suggested to start with a smaller bike. To be honest I wasn't sure either if the Fireblade would be a good choice. Once I sat on it I was kinda scared, or maybe not scared but I had mad respect and I told him. Because it was a two hour drive to that dealer, we took a look at the other bikes they had available. Several Fireblades, CBR600RRs (would've been my first choice anyway) and some smaller bikes. All without ABS but this one '11 CBR600FA. I took it for a ride and I had such a blast that I bought it almost right away. For comparison: the bike I got my license on was a BMW F750GS. A very easy to ride bike I would say, but I wanted something else, a sportsbike. So I rode my new bike for ~300km last weekend and I enjoy it very much. It's nice to meet and greet other bikers on the road and be part of the community. Thank you guys for being nice. It's an honor.I wish you all a nice week.
