New Rider : Road Rage Incident

New rider here been on the roads for a month now after completing my safety course and getting my little 300cc Honda.I was making a right turn onto a street, just waiting for cars to pass, when a pickup pulls behind me and starts beeping. I then made the mistake of engaging him. Ive read time and time again through lurking this forum to never escalate a situation with a vehicle because it only ends badly for the biker.So I (stupidly) roll back beside him and ask him whats the problem. He says I should hurry up, and an argument ensues. I tell him to then go ahead and he makes the right onto the street before me. I make the right onto the road after he goes when all of a sudden he violently swerves into my lane and break checks me. I manage to stop just in time and he calls me a "BITCH". At this point Im pretty rattled but I take a picture of his plate and he drives off and I pull over to find a new route home.I filled out a driver complaint online with the police and attached a picture of his plate/vehicle but I doubt anything will come of it. May look at getting some sort of camera set up as Ive never experienced someone purposely trying to cause harm to me, Ive mostly just seen half awake people merging without looking, distracted, etc.Lesson learned though and just wanted to vent. via /r/motorcycles https://www.reddit.com/r/motorcycles/comments/d5rrdb/new_rider_road_rage_incident/?utm_source=ifttt
