I know 2005 is kinda old these days anyway, but c'mon, it looks like some crap from the 80's. Blue and green have always been my favorite colors and I figured I could do something cool with them. I bought a handful of blue and green PLCC-2 SMD LEDs for the color swap. Standard 3mm LEDs like you find at Radio Shack or whatever will result in hotspots in your LCD screens. No bueno.Saw the LCD "blackout" mod online before and figured I could give it a try too. Bought some polarization film here and it worked great.Couldn't believe it when everything worked on my first try. I have limited soldering experience, but I never did anything nearly this extensive before. I know most bikes these days already have cooler looking gauges than mine before I changed them, but it was one of the more fulfilling projects I've done and would recommend trying it if you're a DIY person. Here's the bikeAlso, Crush the Coast in Florida was amazing today.
