Besides, it had been a while since I last rode my bike. And it made me remember why I love bikes. The exposure to the atmosphere, nothing cluttering your mind as you focus on the road ahead, the speed and acceleration, and the sights along the way. It might have only been for a few hours, but it was a great change of pace and only makes me want to go for another one whenever I can. The feeling of nothing but the air as you cut through it, the forces pushing you forward and pulling at you as you lean through turns and bends, and the satisfaction of finding a view that looks like it came out of a movie; it’s a hell of a drug.
