Are Batteries Interchangeable?

So I've been riding for about 9-10 years on sport bikes and never though of this, but I have 3 bikes with 1 battery that's new and will last. The bike the battery is in is an '05 Honda CBR 1000rr Repsol, my father told me that I can use the battery in most any sportbike as long as the cold cranking amps are enough for the lowest one. The battery in my '08 Kawasaki Ninja zx-6r is dead but I need to start it up to see if it runs, as well as the battery in my dad's '05 YZF-R1 is completely shot. Would the battery from my Repsol work in either of the two, in general? Aside from actual size of the battery?
