How important is having ABS to you?

I understand it's importance and that you seldom will have to use it if you need to. But when considering a newer motorcycle to buy, if you decide that you can buy a motorcycle without ABS you have more options for models/years to pick from and it'll usually be slightly less expensive without ABS.
