Biggest shock you've had when taking bike to shop?

I'll preface this by saying I'm not mechanically inclined, have no garage and it's freezing outside. That said, I took my bike to the shop for new tires. They quote me a price, I agree to it and all is well.Get a call the next day, told my oil is frothy because of a contaminant so they need to do two oil changes to flush it and see if it fixes the issue. Not great but alright. Then get a call saying that's fine now but my coolant is empty. They filled it and found it was leaking so they need to run a diagnostic and pull the bike apart to see what the issue is. Could be simple could not be. Regardless even if I decline the work I'd have to pay to put the bike together again.I really can't afford what they're asking and the trade in they offered was half what I paid for it.Anyway, I could use some other people's stories of getting a way larger bill than expected to help me not feel so crap. Any takers? via /r/motorcycles https://www.reddit.com/r/motorcycles/comments/a6d6xx/biggest_shock_youve_had_when_taking_bike_to_shop/?utm_source=ifttt
