'15 vs '16 Yamaha FJR is the 6th gear worth $2000?

Anyone think the 6th gear is worth an extra $2K? Its like the only option the two years don't share. My last bike was a 1100 V star and it was pretty revved up at highway speeds. I know that was just how it is but it was annoying.​I do a lot of country highway riding around 55 - 65mph.
