ABS on the track?

I ride a Yamaha FZ-09 which has an old-school ABS (no settings for track, road, etc). There have been insatnces where I've found myslef in trouble because of it. Last time I was on the track I was trying to brake late (braking a bit further than my normal braking point) and the ABS came on, which resulted in me losing the use of the front brake for a while and almost crashing because I had to pick the bike up and get off the track, since I reached the turn with a speed much higher than what I felt comfortable with turning. I'm pretty sure there wasn't an actual danger of locking the front because my tires were warm and the bike was still standing up, so worse case the rear tire should lift a bit, which is normal if you're actually braking late. But the ABS on my bike won't allow this to happen, probably because its threshold is set pretty low, for road use.So what is the general consensus? Is ABS on the track dangerous? Should I remove the system's fuse before getting in the track? What do you guys do on bikes with ABS?Thanks in advance for any help. via /r/Trackdays https://www.reddit.com/r/Trackdays/comments/98aftm/abs_on_the_track/?utm_source=ifttt
