I learned to ride a motorcycle about 15 years ago. I remember when I first learned to ride and got my first bike people asked my why. They asked if I did it to try and be cool or if I thought I was some kind of badass or something. Members of my family tried to talk me out of it saying that I would get myself killed and I was being selfish because while I was out riding they had to worry about me. I was the first of my friends to learn to ride and I'm one of maybe 2 or 3 still riding. I've crashed twice and lived to tell the story about why three of my knuckles have scars on them from hitting the pavement at 40 mph. I've riden at speeds that most people just dream of and I can tell you that when you slow down to 85 from 155 it feels like you are barely crawling. I've run on a professional drag strip and can tell you that a 9.5 second quarter mile is one of the biggest adrenaline rushes you can ever experience. I ride because it makes me feel free. When I am on my bike it's just me and 1507 CCs. It's the closest thing to flying that I can do every day and as long as I can throw a leg over the saddle and twist a grip I will ride. Stay safe everyone. via /r/motorcycles https://www.reddit.com/r/motorcycles/comments/8vx3kv/why_i_ride/?utm_source=ifttt
