Ticking sound after engine shutoff

So I might sound dumb, I came off a cbr250 and now have a 2016 GSX-S1000 so I’m new to high cc bikes. I never noticed this on the 250 I’m assuming because it was such a smaller engine and didn’t run as hot, but whenever I shut off the 1000s engine it ticks like a car would when you turn it off. I think it’s coming from the exhaust not the engine itself, but is that normal?
