New bike

Good evening y’all, I have a new to me 2008 gsx-r600. I’m wanting to make it into a track bike. The former owner had under glow lights and all the other stupid stuff on it. The plastics are basically junk and probably won’t hold on long much past 60 mph. The plastic switches and such are all sunfaded and the brake reservoir is dry rotted. Where should I start my process of making this a track bike only. I have other bikes for the street. I’m thinking of a key delete and some fiberglass fairings. Is there much else I should do? Besides track tires and such. I’ve raced many things from mini sprints and full size sprints to some drag racing.
