You might remember me from the other day, I'm the guy who bought his first bike after a year of sobriety. Well the past few days I practiced in the parking lot, got really comfortable with the bike and finally took it out on the road today. It was SO much fun, and I rode around for a couple hours on slow back roads having a blast. Then on my way home I was going down a little busier street about 30mph and a fucking bulldog darted out of the bushes directly at my front tire. There were oncoming cars and I had nowhere to swerve so I slammed the breaks (bike has abs) and nailed the dog. I flew over the handlebars and tore up hundreds of dollars of shiny new gear, but luckily I was ATGATT so I'm fine aside from a little scrape. Im just so pissed off bros, I finally get on 2 wheels and my first day out this happens, and it wasn't even due to a mistake by me. Bike is OK, I had frame sliders so mostly just some plastic bits and a new brake lever to fix. I think the dog was OK for those wondering, he ran off, but who knows via /r/motorcycles https://www.reddit.com/r/motorcycles/comments/fkfey5/my_first_time_ever_riding_on_the_streetand_i_hit/?utm_source=ifttt
