I bought a 2001 ninja 250 with 8000 miles for $850 a few weeks back. I got to drive it home in 35° weather but it wasn't running right. Lots of hesitation and stalling mid drive. Then it stopped running all together. With the help of many redditors and eventually my local bike shop, i got it all worked out and running great! (Cleaned the carbs/pilot circuit, reinstalled and primed)I was able to remove, clean, and reinstall the carbs myself, but it just wouldn't fire. The only thing my mechanic said was that the fuel system was full of air, the tires were soft and there was a tad too much oil. Otherwise it was a steal. He said he primed the carbs and it fired right up.I rode the bike home and there was no more hesitation at all and i finally feel free and safe again to ride.Riding is the only thing that truly relaxes me and blanks my mind. Thank you reddit, specifically members of /r/fixxit /r/lansing and /r/motorcycles.
