I bought my first motorcycle! (project bike)

Hi, I am Jonah!I am a 17 year old high school student, and I just bought my first project bike! Its a 1989 Yamaha Radian YX600. I got it off of craigslist for $300 with a clean title, but it doesn't run (yet). The previous owner bought it a few years ago, running. He swapped out the headlight and messed up the wiring so it no longer runs. Since buying it I have been following youtube videos and the schematics for the wiring to make a whole new wiring harness (I am just doing bare-bones stuff). I have a lot of experience woodworking and fabricating but it is really my first time working with an engine. I have gotten everything wired up, and the starter motor works now, but I am still not getting a spark. I think I may have either just missed a wire, or there is an issue with the TCI (I think that's what its called?). I will post pictures of it as I rebuild and restore it if ya'll are interested.
