Completed MSF course but afraid of the street.

Hello all. As the title states I have recently completed the MSF course. It was worth every penny spent, but I am still terrified of the street.I have only been on the street once so far, and that was a short drive to the gas station @ 45mph. The street just makes me nervous... I have rode around the neighborhood, practiced slow turns and u-turns, but for some reason once I get on the street I get really nervous. Not to mention I do not have riding boots/pants/jacket so the wind just flows straight through my clothes...I think that I bought a bike that is too big for me (08 CBR 600). I am not rapping out the gears or anything I am just riding it slow but the bike scares me too lol....
