BC motorcyclists, where can I do some easy off roading?

I'm brand new to motorcycling. I impulse bought a brand new Versys 300 that I've never ridden before. It's still at the dealership a couple towns over. I took lessons with a different bike and passed the parking lot test so I am allowed to go on my own now, but I'd like to go off road somewhere where I can learn more on the bike and build my confidence before I go on the road. I live downtown Vancouver so somewhere within riding distance would be great.
