Why is a 600cc not enough???

Whenever I am talking to someone and motorcycles are brought up and I am asked what I ride I'll tell them that I absolutely love my 19 R6. Almost every time I tell someone this they always retort with "why didn't you get the R1?", "you should of got the R1" "it isn't that much more". I just kind of get frustrated because the R6 is an absolute powerhouse of a motorcycle and is quite a bit less than an R1. I really don't get why so many people consider it a small or unworthy bike. I don't really know how to respond back to them most of the time.
