I’m rarely stumped but I give up. Hoping you folks can help me out. I got this high mileage bike from an old guy not running. 650 2 cylinder BMW clone. Balanced and rebuilt carbs, always had one cylinder run about 100F colder than the other and plug fouling on both. Finally found out one plug wire was solid core and the colder cylinder was a suppression core from a car.I figured solid core was the way to go and, at minimum, at least the spark would get to where it needed to go. Assembled with NGK plug ends that came with the bike, runs like crap. Pulled them off and put a terminal end on and screwed them into the plug ends for a solid connection, barely starts.Pulled the connection off to see the spark and there is a thick blue spark and THEN the cylinder works. Runs smooth and firing perfectly. Touch the terminal to the plug and it dies. Pull it away and it runs again.Technically I could tape the wire ends next to the plug so they fire but that’s not the way to fix it.Any thoughts because I am out of ideas. via /r/motorcycles https://www.reddit.com/r/motorcycles/comments/f74grb/ignition_question_2001_ural_stumped/?utm_source=ifttt
