How do you wave to a biker if both of you are stopped at red lights?

I was just out riding and I stopped at a red light.The biker across from me was stopped at his red light too.I figured it was kinda awkward to put the peace sign down cuz we weren't moving, but I did it anyway cuz I didn't want to be that guy who doesn't wave.
