Car hit me today, my first accident...

So a car turned left into me today and totaled my bike.It was a busy street with alot of traffic, slow speed. I saw it coming a long way before it happened and reacted very fast.There was a car going the opposite way waiting to turn left. I move over to the right lane just to play the "what if" game of anticipating. Better safe than sorry y'know. Right as I'm bout to pass it the guy floors the pedal (car was pre-turned waiting) I honked at least 10 times to warn the guy to stop. I swerved and braked and damn near lowsided to try to get out of the way, or give him more room in case he was trying to U turn.This dumbass didn't stop and ran straight into me, he head-onned my bike from the side and I got sent over the hood. Apparently he saw a gap in the flow of cars and was trying to make it thru.He did alot of illegal stuff (crossing solid lines etc) but it all comes down to him being a negligent piece of shit. The cops came, asked us what happened, and said he's at fault of course. My exotic literbike that I loved alot is gone now. What really pisses me off is the guy had plenty of time to see me or hear the horn and stop. The mf is blind and deaf, or texting. People like that should have their licenses revoked, not given a slap on the wrist and slightly higher insurance premiums.I wanted to share this with u guys and add that I am angry but grateful, because u see people on this sub losing feet, getting put in comas, ICUs and their lives are changed forever.Bad drivers are killing us out here. You do everything you can to be safe and you can still suffer cuz someone else doesn't give a fuck.
