Tire damage question

Hi, r/motorcycles. I am fairly new to riding, and this evening I found a small object embedded in my reartire. I was able to remove part of it, and it appeared to be a crumbly, mineral like material in the tire. I was able to measure the depth of the tear, and it was about 1.8mm (1/16"). The adjacent sipe depth was 5mm(6/32"). Since I have little experience with motorcycle tires, I would like your advice about whether I need to replace the tire or just keep riding it.
