Sep 28th i went down on my bike

i don't remember what happened, i don't even remember throwing a leg over my bike. i don't remember, years of my life, entire months from before the accident are just gone. i hit my head on a fence post. I'm lucky how minimal my damage was, a TINY bit of road rash on my left shoulder, I'm really confused as to how I'm so ok. i was only going about 35 but slid 20 or 30 feet and hit that fence post, knocked myself unconcious for 5 days. when i woke up i had to re-learn how to walk, talk, eat and drink. i spent almost 2 months in the hospital and I'm almost 4 months in to my recovery. the official diagnosis was diffuse axonal TBI. i emailed ICON Motorsports because i was wearing an icon helmet and jacket, and they're sending me a small care package.moral of the story: wear a helmet via /r/motorcycles https://www.reddit.com/r/motorcycles/comments/euyetw/sep_28th_i_went_down_on_my_bike/?utm_source=ifttt
