Rider and passenger both wearing AirPods Pro

I just completed my first long distance ride wearing AirPods Pro. They worked great. They were comfortable and the noise canceling was awesome. Inside the helmet Siri worked great. So now I have a theory that I wonder if any of you have tried. What if my passenger was also wearing AirPods Pro? In theory if I wanted to talk to her, I could use hey Siri to call her. Or if we wanted to listen to the same music (my wife would not want to hear my music) and not talk I know there is a way for two sets of AirPods to connect to the same iPhone. Before investing in a second set, I wonder if any of you have tried this.
