Hiya, I wanted to make this quick post because I'm bored while lying injured in my bed and also because I see a ton of people on bikes not using boots. I got in a crash a week ago when a car turned into me and my boots saved my foot for being broken. When I got hit my SV landed on my foot and if I had been wearing normal shoes there is a good chance I wouldn't have gotten away with a broken toe and a sprained ankle.I see so many people with leathers and helmet but no boots. They are in my opinion one of the most important parts of your gear to have. I understand its tempting as a commuter or whatever you are doing just to use your normal work shoes or other but please don't. Carrying a pair of riding boots, whether they are full riding boots or just casual riding boots, is easy and will save you a lot of pain if you get in a crash. If you don't like the look of riding boots there are actually a lot of options for casual looking riding boots that fit in easily with normal shoes!Boots are fairly cheap (at least where I live) and are underrated I think in the protection they give you.Not saying I'm not guilty of not using boots at times but after this, I will never not wear boots while riding again.None the less, enjoy your riding if you happen to be in summer right now or enjoying your winter adventures if your not. via /r/motorcycles https://www.reddit.com/r/motorcycles/comments/et1m2z/please_use_riding_boots_and_gear/?utm_source=ifttt
