I got a new bike! Well, mostly...

Almost exactly 1 year ago, I lost everything. My house, my farm, my shops, my car, and my bikes. I’ve been struggling to put together a new life in a new city ever since. Living in Los Angeles without a vehicle is doable, but very difficult and time-consuming— time that needs to be spent bringing in rent money. It’s been very stressful overall.Today, that changed somewhat. I got a 1985 Honda Shadow for stupidly cheap! It was definitely that price for a reason: I got the carburetor in a separate box, and I’ve already questioned the previous owner’s interesting choices in regards to wiring and stuff, but the important thing is I finally have some semblance of a vehicle.I have experience fixing up cars and motorcycles, otherwise this would be a hard nope. As it is, it’s a tangible progress bar towards regaining some of what I lost. Yes, it will be hard, and expensive, but the end result is worth it.Imgur album for the interested via /r/motorcycles https://www.reddit.com/r/motorcycles/comments/em6e5r/i_got_a_new_bike_well_mostly/?utm_source=ifttt
