Feeling Completely Defeated

Howdy,New rider here.I shared the cost of a dual sport bike with my brother around September/October to practice riding. The dealer and my dad (who has been riding since he was young) said that I would be able to kick start the bike (so no worries). My dad brought the bike to my parent's house... I could not get the bike to start. My dad could get it to start, but not me. No biggie, I will learn and get it to start in time. Because the bike is at my parent's house, I have to go to their home to ride. A week goes by, I still can't kick start the damn bike. My brother eventually is actually home early enough to check the bike out and can kick start it.. well, damn. So, then it became where I could only practice when either my dad or my brother are home (which is almost never before 8-9p)So, here it is.. the end of January, and I have probably ridden the bike maybe a total of like.. 7 times for like 10 minute sessions (and that is mostly in a circle in their backyard).. because I can't start the damn bike.I am feeling completely defeated. I want to ride so bad, and I have enjoyed the limited time I have had on the bike, but I am so frustrated because I can't just practice riding whenever, I can only do it when my dad or brother are home and in a circle because if it stalls on the streets, I can't start it back up.I have watched videos, I have tried reading stuff on it, and I have watched my dad kick start his, I took a video of him kick starting it, I have had tons of bruises from trying to start the bike, and I still cannot get it to start. Why am I the only one in the world who sucks at kick starting a bike? via /r/motorcycles https://www.reddit.com/r/motorcycles/comments/ev0y2o/feeling_completely_defeated/?utm_source=ifttt
