Just picked up a basically like-new 2017 Kawasaki Z-900 ABS with 1,680 miles from NC (I live in CA). Bike was clearly stored more than ridden but only shows minimal evidence (the chain and the knob on the clutch adjustment). The chain shows the following discoloration likely from rust.I can't tell if it is only surface level, or if it was once much worse and then cleaned but the metal was left discolored. What do you think? Should I go ahead and replace it with an OEM chain or give it a good clean an lube and keep an eye on it? Don't want to do sprockets too for time and money..they don't have many hours with the chain anyway so wear would be minimal.I've gone back and forth about this and just can't make up my mind. An OEM chain would put me back $230, not including the tools I would need (I'm growing my toolbox).Any advice and guidance would be helpful.Link to photohttps://imgur.com/5MaVrDk via /r/motorcycles https://www.reddit.com/r/motorcycles/comments/em4xed/clean_or_replace_help/?utm_source=ifttt
