I recently purchased a 2000 C5 Corvette with 240k miles and plan to make it into a road track car. I am pretty new to racing so plan to keep it stock for the most part with minor upgrades to learn how to drive fast on a track. I plan to do the following maintenance/upgrades:Dewitts radiator with integrated transmission cooler160F thermostatChange power steering with redline fluidChange brake fluid with Motul rbf 6001 to 4 shift bypassChange transmission fluid (not sure what to get)Spark plugsValve cover gasketsFew questions:Is there a particular coolant I should be using for track use or would any dexcool coolant work?Since the engine has 240k, what pre track maintenance should I do to the engine besides spark plugs and valve cover? Don’t want my engine to blow once I start pushing it on the track.Any other items I should do or look at?? via /r/Trackdays https://www.reddit.com/r/Trackdays/comments/ekp6oa/c5_corvette_pretrack_maintenance_help/?utm_source=ifttt
