Butt strain when leaning

When I lean over to my right, my left butt cheek (the specific muscle is the gluteus medius). I've spent months trying to figure out what exactly about my posture is wrong and still suffer from the strain today. It now affects my daily life (e.g. cleaning around the house). Leaning towards my right becomes painful over an extended amount of time on that side, however, my left side does not suffer from this issue. I've tried to mimic my posture, but no success. I sit an inch or two from the tank, inside foot is tucked in and I don't rely on it for support, the outside leg is main support wrapping the tank, head faces the turn exit, body posture leans inside, butt is half a cheek off, hips are squared, and so on. I typically do a dynamic warmup before practicing and in the beginning, when the pain was at its worse, I would always ice afterward. Little to no stretching after a practice session. I've had stretching sessions in the past that involved glutes and hip exercises with no signs of improvement. The seated spinal twist glute stretch makes me feel the strain most. I've even used foam rolling and a lacrosse ball to break up any potential scar tissue. Now the muscle has developed (most likely the constant tension, stretching, and being overworked) so the pain is not as bad, or I could be compensating elsewhere and not realize it. I haven't had anyone look at my posture and I don't know anyone that can. I've tried recording, changing all facets of my posture (e.g. feet flair, hip angle, distance from the tank, upper body angle, how far I slide off the side, etc.). The only thing that's made the situation bearable is not committing my lower body to the turn (i.e. keeping both legs pinned to the tank) and only committing my upper body. I'm not sure if this is a good alternative and it seems like I'm running away instead of facing the real issue.Any suggestions?
