Anyone live in Saint Petersburg, FL?

I'm moving in a few weeks and am curious how is the riding there? I'll work for home so I'd use it for errands - not a daily commute. Currently in San Diego where there's very little rain and the downtown area is biker friendly with lots of free spaces as opposed to metered spots for cars. Is it easier to park a bike at the beaches?
