Update on wife’s crash

Some of you may have seen my post last week about my wife crashing her Honda Rebel 500 into a tree. I’m happy to say that she’s doing well after 14 stitches to the chin. She was definitely embarrassed and depressed after the crash, but she’s starting to feel better. After replacing the headlight and straightening out the handlebars, the bike is in surprisingly good condition with just some minor dings and scratches (the bike fared much better than she did). I also adjusted the clutch and front break levers upward slightly, since I’m pretty sure she grabbed for the clutch but missed it because it wasn’t in the same place as the Suzuki TU 250 that she did her MSC on. I have to say that I’m impressed with the durability of the Honda considering she literally rode it up a tree and flipped it.She feels like she’s willing to give it another try, and we will be doing lots of practice in a parking lot (with a full face helmet) once the weather improves before we get back on public streets.I’d like to give a shout out to this community for sharing your stories and imparting some valuable lessons. via /r/motorcycles https://www.reddit.com/r/motorcycles/comments/e6us2f/update_on_wifes_crash/?utm_source=ifttt
