Helmet fit question

So, first off I have my M1 but am a little on the fence about a motorcycle atm. For now I got a Biltwell Gringo for riding on my E-bike (it's essentially a moped) to ease into the biking mindset. It's a snug fit on my head and seems good but the cheeks are super tight. If I bite down I'm biting my cheeks basically. Will the pads loosen up you think? Wrong size?
